CMC RESPONDS TO CRISIS IN ISRAEL
In quick response to the current crisis in Israel, CMC launched "Operation Tefillin," which includes the opportunity to purchase a new set of tefillin for a subsidized 50 percent discounted price.
Thanks to this extraordinary opportunity, 30 individuals who were previously not wrapping tefillin every day have now purchased a discounted set of tefillin and are going strong on their firm new commitment to wrap tefillin daily while praying for a soldier in Israel.
CMC is now looking for more people to join this project and we are looking for additional funding to help sponsor the subsidies.

WHY TEFILLIN?
As is known, two days before the outbreak of the Six Day War in 1967, the Lubavitcher Rebbe launched the now-famous "Tefillin Campaign." While the performance of any mitzvah certainly strengthens the Jewish people and invokes merit on their behalf, the Rebbe strongly and repeatedly emphasized that the mitzvah of tefillin has a special spiritual power to invoke Divine protection and to strike fear into the hearts of Israel's enemies. Thus, the mitzvah of tefillin performed by Jews around the world literally helps keep Jewish soldiers and civilians safe.
