Dear Fellow Mispallelim,
If the tragedy in Meron wasn't devastating enough, as most of you are aware, on Erev Shavuos another tragedy struck Klal Yisroel, and specifically the Stolin-Karlin community when multiple rows of bleachers collapsed and hundreds of young men fell over 30 feet. Over 200 were injured, some needing multi-hour life saving surgeries and rachmana l'tzlan, two precious lives were lost. Many of the injured face months of rehabilitation. In truth, it was a neis that there were not more casualties or loss of life. The hatzalah members who were the first on the scene expected a death toll higher than in meron.
My nephew and his children were there and my son had several friends there. The fear they described will not easily leave their hearts and minds. The trauma even for those not injured is tremendous.
An emergency fund has been set up for the families of the injured and niftar and to help treat those suffering mentally from the trauma.
Please open your heart and give generously!
