According to Rabbi Mendel Kessin, Moshe Rabbeinu had to wait 60 years to lead the Jews out of Mitzraim because of lashon hara. It was when they had stopped speaking lashon hara that Hashem sent Moshe on his mission to save Klal Yisroel. The next time you have an urge to say something negative, stop and think, is it really worth it?
