I do not recognize the country that I was born and raised in. Jews are being chased, attacked, and beaten in the streets of our major cities. Of course, we know that this is all a harbinger of the coming of Mashiach, but it is still terrifying. However, we do not need to feel helpless! We have a very powerful weapon!

HaGaon Rav Chayim Volozhin (Nefesh HaChayim III:12-13) cites the Gemara in Chullin Daf 7b which teaches that if a person internalizes the Pasuk: Ein Od Milvado, Hashem, He is G-d, there is nothing else beside Him (Devarim 4:35) he will be protected from harmful forces. When one accepts Hashem's absolute sovereignty he places himself fully under His protective wing. Although nature contains many destructive elements, the man of faith understands that they are but marionettes in the hands of the Creator. (Divrei Chizuk)
Ein Od Milvado must become our constant mantra! Say it over and over until it becomes ingrained in your psyche. Don't just say it! Believe it! A Jew is not supposed to be afraid!
