It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Rav Shalom Boruch Yehuda Leibowitz z"l. He was 47 years old.

Reb Boruch Yehuda, a son of the Nikolsburger Rebbe, had battled illness for a while, and was on a respirator at a Yerushalayim hospital. After six weeks in a coma, has passed away, leaving behind his wife and six children,

Reb Boruch Yehuda was the oldest child of his parents, the Nikolsburger Rebbe and Rebbetzin.

In recent years, he moved to Eretz Yisroel, fulfilling his long-held wish to live in Eretz Hakodesh.

He is remembered for his lev tov, and for being a person who would help anyone in need. His generous words cheered up so many downtrodden people. He always brimmed with emunah and bitachon, persevering in his avodas Hashem despite many challenges.

The levayah will take place today in Yerushalayim.
