Launch of our NACH Section!

With tremendous Hakaras Hatov to the Ribono Shel Olam, we are excited to share with our dear readers and supporters, the opening of an entirely new section - the Nach Index! [link here]

Our Index to Commentaries on Nach follows the same pattern as our Index for the Chumash. Choose a verse (from the Nach dropdown, or the bottom of any Nach page) to display a verse, its translation, and a concise and professional summary of the questions raised by the major commentators - with a brief synopsis of their answers.

Baruch Hashem, we have already prepared the summaries up to the end of Yirmeyah, with more coming soon be'h. (Verses and their translation can be viewed for the entire Nach.)

Kollel Iyun Hadaf's Books on Shemitah

Two of our Kollel members printed excellent volumes on the subject of Shemitah. Their clarity and accuracy make both a pleasure to use.

1. Rabbi Yehudah Landy published a pamphlet in English named "An Easy Guide to Shemitah". Meant as a handbook, it summarizes all of the Halachos that students and visitors to Israel, or consumers of Israeli products, need to know - and much more. (pprbk, 95pp.; 30nis/$17 inc. shipping)

2. The other is a hardcover volume by Rabbi Reuven Butler. This beautifully illustrated Sefer spells out the laws of Shemitah in a captivating manner. It is fun reading for all ages. Available in both English & Hebrew. (50pp. & 15pp. sources; 27nis/$65 inc. shipping)
