A MESSAGE FROM RAV YISROEL REISMAN, SHLITA Over the last few years, I have been heavily involved in dealing with the State's attempt to control Yeshivas.   I've spent many hours on this issue, I've travelled to Albany, met with all segments of the Orthodox community and spent time understanding the legal and practical aspects of the draft regulations.   The sad fact is - WE CANNOT EXIST WITH THESE REGULATIONS. Not Yeshiva Torah Vodaas, not the Bais Yaakov Schools, not the Chassidic Schools, not the Yeshivish Schools - even the Catholic Schools have told the State - in no uncertain terms - that they are not allowing the local school board to inspect their schools. While the State granted an 'alternative pathway' that effectively exempts the Catholic Schools, we remain threatened.   The law entitles us to offer Public Comment on these regulations. Please help us by doing so. Tell NYS, in respectful terms, that we cannot live with these regulations. Tell NYS that we offer a sound education.
