CCL SHUL MEMBERS IS NOW MAGEN CHICAGO

As Magen Chicago, we have so much more to do. Our education and programs are offered for free to our community. And with the community's financial help, we will only grow in our outreach and efforts. MAGEN Chicago is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations are tax-deductible.

With our successes, we've become more than just a group of concerned citizens. We have formed an organization that aims to protect our synagogues, schools, and community through planning, education, and coordination between law enforcement agencies. We've become Magen Chicago.
The organization developed relationships, coordinated with first responders, and provided much-needed information and education to the entire Chicago Jewish Community. Our current communications, campaigns, and ongoing classes include Stop the Bleed courses and medical kits for Shuls, candle lighting PSAs, safety seminars, our "When in Doubt, Call It Out" 911 campaign, the Community Tip Line, community outreach, and the Shul Alert Channel, which is monitored by over 130 safety team members and five local police departments. We also have active threat presentations and drills with local first responder agencies, women's and men's krav maga classes, and, with the assistance of Standstrong, Krav Maga classes for school students. We also offer CPR/AED classes to individuals and shuls, local security cameras that the police can use, and our original Shul Safety Officer and Greeter programs. CCL Shul Members have continued to broaden their scope of operations over the years.

CCL Shul Members began as a grassroots organization founded in 2016 by a diverse group of medics, educators, professionals, and businessmen, all concerned citizens determined to learn about responsibly securing their respective Shuls. Soon we grew to provide support, education, and training in emergency medicine, security, safety, and threat response to our members. As incidents of antisemitism rose, CCL Shul Members developed the SSO and SSG programs in coordination with Shuls and leaders to create dedicated, community-centered security and safety for our Shuls.

CCL Shul Members is proud to announce our new name, Magen Chicago, to reflect our growth from a small group of concerned citizens to an organization at the forefront of safety and security in the Greater Chicago Area.

Thanking our community for its continued support,

Chiam Naiditch
Avraham Hershkovich
