News from the Agudah:

  • Why is it so important to vote? See below to watch a video from Agudah's New York Government affairs department explaining what is at stake.

  • Agudah of Illinois held pre-election town halls to educate voters on the ballot measures in the upcoming elections. See below for more details.

  • H3 Business Halacha Summit registration is now open! See below for more details and to register.

  • A message from Chayim Aruchim: Medicare open enrollment ends December 7th. Due to the overwhelming amount of cases where Managed Medicare companies are refusing to pay for life sustaining services, Chayim Aruchim encourages people to enroll in Original Traditional Medicare with a supplementary plan. This will ensure you will have ALL your services covered should the need arise. Everything is covered without any prior approval requirements. If you are currently on any type of Medicare managed plan, you now have an opportunity, for a very short time, to unenroll. Once this enrollment period closes, you cannot make any changes to your policies until October of the following year. This is a decision that can affect your life and your health. If you have any questions call Chayim Aruchim 718 - ARUCHIM, ext 2.

Agudah of Illinois Pre-Election Town Halls

Ballot referendums are often confusing and can leave a person at the ballot box unsure of what they are actually voting for or against. On Monday, October 31, Agudath Israel of Illinois held two town halls to educate voters on the ballot measures in the upcoming elections. Rabbi Shlomo Soroka, director of Government Affairs for Agudath Israel of Illinois, explained the ballot referendum questions, and what they mean for the local Jewish community. Some 75 community members attended the meeting and the Agudah will be hosting a third town hall on Thursday, November 3, for those who weren't able to attend. For more information, email bbassman@agudahil.org. For more information about voting in Illinois go to Agudah.org/vote/IL.
