Pirchei Oneg Shabbos

The Peterson Park branches of Mishnas Shabbos celebrated the first half of winter Zman with an Oneg Shabbos at Khal Ohr Yissochor Chodorov. The boys heard Divrei Chizuk from Rabbi Yossi Zucker about the importance of Limud Hatorah in their free time and how the Shechinah participates in their Limud Hatorah. Thank you to Rabbi Shmuel Zimmerman for making the Shul available to us. May the boys continue to go Mechayil el Choyil.

Bnos Free Mid-Winter Ice Skating Event

Bnos Agudath Israel's Inaugural FREE Mid-Winter Ice Skating event at the Skatium in Skokie attracted over 200 girls, including some intrepid mothers, and provided a fun and exciting activity to begin their Mid-Winter break. Luckily, the bright smiles of all the girls, as they made their way around the main rink, didn't melt the ice. The main rink was rented for two hours, giving parents the flexibility to come early or later in the morning for their skating. After skating to lively Jewish music, as the girls in grades 1 – 4 were leaving, they were surprised with a 12 page activity booklet to do with a friend during their week off from school. We are very happy that so many girls got "around" to coming to this exciting activity.
