Arrest Made In Carjacking Investigation Dear Neighbor, The police have made an arrest in connection with the rash of carjackings that have been plaguing our neighborhood and other parts of the City. As a result, a juvenile has been charged with multiple counts of Vehicular Hijacking, as well as an Attempted Hijacking of two off-duty police officers in Edgewater. The 24th District Police ran the investigation that resulted in this arrest. Thank you to all of the officers involved, especially the 2406 Mission Team of the local police department. The investigation will continue by Area 3 Detectives and the 2406 Team. Residents should remain mindful of their surroundings at all times while this investigation continues. Please do not use your cell phone while seated in your car. Take the conversation inside and avoid lingering in a parked vehicle.
