Q: Do I have to wash my hands after shaving?

A: Rav Avrohom Chaim Agishtein responds:

The Shulchan Aruch Oh"c 4:19 writes that a person should wash their hands after a haircut because of רוח רעה. It is said over in the name of Rav Moshe Feinstein (Divrei Chachamim 1:8) and Rav Shlomo Z. Auerbach (Halichos Shlomo 2:10), that this only applies to one who is cutting the hair of their head. One who is shaving their beard or removing any other body hair would not have to wash their hands afterward.

Yahalom Chicago hosted the 2nd "Walk With Us" event last Tuesday night at the Robert Crown Community Center. They continued the conversation in a private room next to the track with snacks and a sense of community.
