----- Forwarded Message -----From: "'Chicago Aneinu' via chicago-aneinu" <chicago-aneinu@googlegroups.com>To: "Chaya Miriam Wolper" <myysbyy@aol.com>Sent: Tue, Sep 30, 2025 at 11:41 PMSubject: [chicago-aneinu] I wish you all A Gmar Chasima Tova!!!--Dear Aneinu Members,Ten days ago we said goodbye to the year 5785 and welcomed in 5786. It is almost two years since the tragedy of Oct. 7th. We have been davening for the hostages, our incredibly brave soldiers, and our brothers and sisters in Eretz Yisroel, for way too long. This week we have received a glimmer of hope. It looks like the leaders of Hamas might actually accept Trump's 20 point plan for Gaza. Though we all may not agree that this plan is the best plan for Israel, I think we can all agree that it would be a huge relief to have all of the hostages home. Everything that is happening is being orchestrated by Hashem, and it all leads to the revelation of Mashiach and the geulah shlema. Our job is to keep davening, and saying Tehillim, and serving Hashem with simcha, emunah, and bitachon. I firmly believe, without a doubt, that our Tehillim kinus this past Sunday brought the Geulah much, much closer! What an amazing show of achdus, and heartfelt tefillos!
Last year, as in past years, we saw terrorist attacks, wars and upheaval, and crazy natural disasters. But we also saw great miracles! The famous beepers, Israel's attack on Iran which was executed perfectly, the attacks by Iran which caused very few fatalities.
Remember the attempted bus bombings? During an attempted terrorist attack on February 20, 2025, in the Israeli city of Bat Yam, a potential mass casualty event was averted, with the incident being widely described as a miracle. Five buses were rigged with bombs, three of which exploded and two of which were later defused. Since the bombs went off prematurely or were discovered on buses that had finished their routes and were empty, no one was killed or injured. The devices were mistakenly set to PM instead of AM.
Hashem is always there watching over us. Yes, tragedies have happened, but Hashem gives His people an unnatural strength of emunah and bitachon, to be able to bear the pain and not give up. And, the tragedies strengthen our achdus even more!
We are witnessing the scenario foretold by chazal of the days preceding Mashiach. "Rabbi Yochanan said: If you see a generation with a lot of troubles, wait for him... ". (Sanhedrin 98a)
Hashem loves us and greatly desires to bring the Geulah, but the prosecuting attorney in the Heavenly Court, the Satan, demands justice for our many sins. To satisfy Justice, Hashem brings yissurim on Klal Yisroel, and on the world. It is the yissurim, the suffering of Klal Yisroel, that will bring Mashiach.
Suffering also gives us the opportunity to do chesed, and as the requests for help and tefillos have continued to pour in to Zisa Zimmerman Aneinu, our members have continued to answer the call. Many people have told me that when they receive an email requesting tefillos, they immediately say one, or more, kappitlach of Tehillim. If they don't have time to say Tehillim, they daven that the choleh should have a refuah shlema. These tefillos may seem small, but they are extremely powerful. I personally have been told stories of cholim whose situations turned around after an email was sent asking for tefillos.
However, your chesed doesn't end with your tefillos! People tell me that they are blown away by the chesed of this Aneinu email list. Very often I will post a request, and within minutes there are multiple responses to help. B"H we have been zoche to raise money for needy families in crisis, needy kallahs, as well as many local organizations.
I want to take this opportunity to ask for mechila from all of you for any mistakes I may have made while managing this list, and if I neglected to answer an email or phone call, I apologize. It just means I was overwhelmed! There are times when I have to make difficult decisions regarding adding names to the refoeinu list, and it pains me when I have to tell someone that a choleh does not meet the criteria. Sometimes there are gray areas, and I just do the best that I can.
As I have said before, communicating by email can be tricky, because you can't hear the person's voice or see facial expressions. Sometimes this can lead to misunderstandings. If I hurt or offended anyone, please forgive me, as it certainly was not intentional. Managing this list has always been a learning experience for me, and it has certainly been very humbling.
I fervently hope that this year be a good year for all of you and your families. May you all celebrate many simchas. May those who are ill have a refuah shlema. May those in need of a shidduch find their bashert. May those waiting to have children be blessed with zera shel kayama. May those with children have much yiddishe nachas. May you all be blessed with shalom bayis and abundant parnassa, menuchas hanefesh, and simchas hachaim. May this new year be a year of besoros tovos for all of you. Above all, may this be the year that Hashem says, "ENOUGH" to the suffering of Klal Yisroel, brings Mashiach and the geulah shlema, rebuilds the Bais Hamikdash, and brings us all home.
G'mar Chasima Tova,
Chaya Miriam
