Dear All Torah Friends,

Over the past week, I had the zechus to take part in two different Siyumei HaShas. Both mesaymim, completing Shas for the first time, shared something remarkable: for years, daily learning felt impossible. It wasn't until they were already in their 40s that they found the inspiration and courage to make the commitment—and once they did, everything changed.

One described how he attended his friend's Siyum HaShas and walked out saying, "If he could do it, so can I." From then on it was non-negotiable: not going to sleep before finishing the daf, finding live shiurim while traveling, whatever it took. The other told how during COVID his Rav asked him to make a Siyum on Makkos for Taanis Bechorim. That one siyum gave him the confidence to take on the Daf—and he hasn't looked back since.

Both spoke about how All Torah helped them stay the course. One even wrote to me this week:

With Hashem's help, I'll be making my first Siyum HaShas in a few days, and on pace to make another one with the Daf Yomi Siyum in two years, iy"H. It's hard to imagine doing it without AllDaf. Being able to easily access four different Maggidei Shiur, especially through the tougher parts of Kodshim, kept me going. Thank you Hashem, and thank you to everyone behind the scenes for these apps.

The joy and emotion at these Siyumim are beyond words. (Both recordings are available—message me if you'd like the links.)

At each Siyum, I shared a message from Rav Aharon Kotler about 40 these days, from Rosh Chodesh Elul through Yom Kippur:

These are yemei rachamim v'ratzon. They are the days Moshe Rabbeinu spent davening in Shamayim for Klal Yisrael's forgiveness after the chet ha'egel. On Yom Kippur, that kapparah came. Rav Aharon writes that the gates of mercy and favor are wide open now. What normally takes

amal rav—tremendous effort—can be achieved with amal me'at—

a much smaller effort—during these days. We are all looking for kabbalos to merit a good judgment.

What greater kabbalah than strengthening our daily commitment to Torah? Whether it's Mishnah Yomis, Shnayim Mikra, Kitzur Yomi, Daf Yomi, Yerushalmi Yomi—there is something for everyone to connect to each day.

And today, in Selichos, we said:

חיים דברך ידענו — Teach us the words of Your Torah and Mitzvos.

קל גבור ויועץ — Hashem, the mighty, the powerful, the One who guides.

להדבק בתורתך — So that we may cleave to Your Torah.

אותנו בטובה להיועץ — Guide us with goodness and may we merit that only gezeiros tovos

May this be a year of daily growth in Torah, and may that growth be the source of rachamim, bracha, and yeshuos for us all.
