Answer: We previously stated that one cannot rent a property to a house of avodah zara, if this property provides them with any advantage or benefit that could not be obtained elsewhere. When it comes to professional services – such as those provided by a lawyer or accountant – the same services can usually be obtained from someone else; therefore, providing such services for a church would not be considered enabling them, and would be technically permitted.
Although that is true according to the letter of the law, it is important to remember that the Poskim strongly advise against having any connection to a house of avodah zara, as this is inappropriate for a Jewish person and should be avoided if at all possible. | | If you have any questions related to these shiurim, you can reply directly to this email. | | OR SEARCH "BUSINESS HALACHA DAILY" VIA YOUR FAVORITE PODCAST VENUE | | | | | | |
