Mazal Tov to Rav Chaim Kramer on the engagement of his granddaughter, Naomi Koenig, the daughter of Reb Elazar Mordechai and his wife Miriam, tichye.
May it be HaShem's will that the shidduch be blessed with success, leading to the building of a bayis ne'eman b'Yisrael - an everlasting home of holiness.
This week, six special events were held in preparation for Rosh HaShanah. We are pleased to share some photos and a video from these inspiring gatherings:

"When you go out to war against your enemies…" (Devarim 21:10)
The Torah speaks here not only of physical battle, but also of the inner struggle each person faces.
"War" represents those situations that are lo k'seder - out of order, unexpected, or unwanted circumstances that a person tries to avoid, or that come upon him against his will.
The Torah promises: "HaShem your G-d will deliver them into your hand" - meaning, the outcome will be that all of your desires are aligned with HaShem's will. You will come to recognize that even what seems lo k'seder is in truth also His will, and therefore can be transformed into k'seder - into proper order.
How is this accomplished? Only through "and you shall capture its captivity." The word machshavah (thought) contains the letters chashav–mah. The higher levels of thought must be brought down into mah - total humility and self-nullification before HaShem.
When we do this, everything that happens to us is immediately connected back to Him, and we are then able to face and endure anything.
May it be HaShem's will that we always succeed in transforming our will to His will - not to dwell on what we think we deserve, but to ask ourselves instead: "What can I do for HaShem?"
