Our Charidy campaign continues this week, and your support is still being doubled.

These funds help us move forward with our major projects - the Likutey Halachos translation, new publications, animation initiatives and other efforts to spread Rebbe Nachman's teachings.

And because every donation is matched, even a small contribution goes twice as far in supporting these projects.

If you haven't had a chance to join yet, there's still time to take part and help us bring these projects to completion.

"And he encountered the place."
(Bereishis 28:11).

Our sages interpret this phrase as referring to prayer, teaching that Yaakov Avinu established the evening prayer (Maariv) (Rashi).

Yaakov Avinu shows us the path to connect the moon to the sun—to understand that every clear and radiant light we experience must first pass through a period of darkness. As it is written: "And there was evening, and there was morning."

From him we learn the essence of prayer, especially when we feel drained, weary or uninspired—when it's night within us. It is precisely then that, through the moonlight of faith, we can receive the sunlight of Torah.

The lesson he came to teach us is that in every step we take, we must pause and reflect:

What wisdom lies hidden in this moment?
How, even in the darkness of night, can we still receive the reflected light of the sun through the moon—and use it to find our way closer to Hashem?

This is the ongoing battle with Esav, who seeks only instant pleasure—to satisfy his desires in the moment—and uses great intellect to invent endless ways to pursue those same desires ever more intensely. May Hashem save us from this!

The practical solution is simple but profound: prayer.
To pray and cry out to Hashem even when it's dark, and never give up on prayer—no matter how far or hopeless things may seem.
