Dear All Torah friends,
As Chanukah comes to a close, I wanted to share a short Zos Chanukah shiur that we just recorded with Rabbi Yehoshua Hartman.
This presentation was originally offered live to our Amudei All Torah Circle and to supporters of All Torah. We are now sharing the recording more broadly so others can benefit as well.
Rabbi Hartman is the editor of the Mechon Yerushalayim Maharal editions and gives a weekly parsha shiur on All Parsha. Few people today bring the depth and clarity of the Maharal the way he does.
In this shiur, Rabbi Hartman zeroes in on what the Greeks valued and how a Jewish person's connection to Hashem offers something fundamentally deeper. Around the 13-minute mark, he shares a personal story from a visit to São Paulo that brings this idea into sharp focus.
The shiur is brief and offers a clear Chanukah takeaway.
