This past Sunday, Yahalom Chicago held an ice-skating event for sisters of individuals with special needs at the Weber Center Skatium. Forty girls, ranging in age from 6 to 17, participated. The program began with pizza, snacks and a game, followed by ice skating on a rink reserved exclusively for the group. In addition to the activity itself, the program gave the sisters an opportunity to spend time with others who understand what it means to have a sibling with special needs, creating a comfortable and relaxing environment for everyone.

The Chicago Bnos Choir ended their 6 week program with a Command Performance before over 100 appreciative mothers, grandmothers and siblings on Sunday, January 11 at the Agudah Community Center. The 30 minute performance showed how much the 27 girls had learned about solo presentations and how to blend their voices into a wonderful choir. Bnos thanks Mrs. Rayla Shulman for the wonderful job she did in bringing out the best in each girls' musical skills and hopes she will be able to use her talents on next year's Bnos Choir – for even more girls. The next Sunday Bnos project will iyH be a Bnos Dance Group. More information to follow. For answers to any questions related to Bnos and its many activities, please contact Mrs. Suri Aron at 773.414.1949.
