Every year, my family memorializes my mother a"h on her yahrtzeit with a new theme. We always choose topics connected to her midos tovos, or mitzvos with which she was extra careful. This year, year #27, the focus is on Shmiras Halashon: Eis ledaber, v'eis lachshos (Shlomo Hamelech, Koheles).  I am currently preparing this year's family project, b'ezras Hashem, & I'm conducting a  genuine survey, with these 2 questions: 

1. For Eis Ledaber: Was there ever a time in your life when you knew you should speak up to protect someone's honor, but you let the moment pass, and then it was too late? If you could go back in time, what would you do differently? Please address both points. 

2.  For Eis Lachshos: Was there ever a time in your life where you spoke against someone in a moment of anger, and as a result that person lost a shidduch, job, closeness/connection with their child/ren, or anything equally serious?  If you could go back in time, what would you do differently? Please address both points. 

PLEASE NOTE: You have the option to remain absolutely anonymous, of course! Please reply as soon as possible, as my project will take time, and the yahrtzeit is in less than 3 months.
